What Causes Swelling In Palm And Fingers While Wearing Tension Band Wiring?
It can be due to ulnar nerve stretching
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I have studied your case . Swelling in pal and hand is normal after surgery. it can stay for months so you should not be worried about this. It will go slowly. Meanwhile you need to continue physiotherapy in form of finger movements.
As far as sensation in little and ring finger is concerned it can be due to ulnar nerve stretching. This is temporary and it will also improve. You need to tell about this to your surgeon. He can help you. You might be benefitted with tablet Methyl cobal daily.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.

I consulted with my surgeon. He prescribed me Tablet" Renerve Plus" 1-0-0 for three week. Will this helpful?.
Stapler type stitches will be removed on 30/07/2015. Right now my fractured hand is supported on L shaped semi open plaster of paris cast and bandage was wrapped around that, and all of this supported in sling pouch. Heavy abrasion are also present on elbow. But i am not feeling any discomfort of abrasions. only the discomfort of POP cast. Even if i am not getting smooth movement for fingers, I am doing the physiotherapy in form of finger movement.
Doctor i have to know following details.
1. After the removal of stitches. What will be the normal rehabilitation plan?.
2. How long i have to do physical therapy?.
3. Is there any requirement of change in diet?.
4. I am a 28 year old Male. and also an Electrical Engineer. How much time it will require in normal course of time for full range of extension?.
5. How long there will be restriction for lifting heavy objects, riding bike, driving car etc?.
6. I was doing weight training exercises before the accident. Can i do that further?. Will there be any restriction?.
7. How much time it will take to heal the fracture completely?.
8. Is there any requirement of surgery to remove the tension band wiring, after healing of fracture?.
9. If there is requirement of surgery. How much rest i require further to come back to normal life.
Expecting your reply Doctor,
