What Causes Swelling In The Armpit?
Question: Hi there,
I am worried, my right armpit feels swollen, I compared it with the left armpit and it feels different (swollen nodes I guess). I also feel discomfort in the right armpit.
I tend to sleep on my arm sometimes and I also gained a bit of weight. But the left armpit feels fine. I've been googling and all I get is breast cancer, its after midnight now and I am worried a lot!
Also, I have done blood test recently, can you tell me if it looks good and if I need to do anything differently? (aside from my tsh and vitamin d)?

Brief Answer:
Proper examination should be done
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns. I have reviewed the reports.
Swelling in the armpit can be due to swollen lymph nodes.
The lymph nodes are enlarged in infection, tuberculosis and breast carcinoma.
I will suggest you to consult a surgeon for proper examination , investigations like mammogram and biopsy, and get further treatment accordingly.
The reports show deranged TSH levels, so you may require thyroid supplementation after assessment of your symptoms.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
