What Causes Swelling In The Ball Of The Foot?

Question: Slight swelling of the ball of right foot. Had a
medically untreated knee injury 4 mos ago. Knee painful simtimes but stable , mobility normal. Are they related

Cannot say in your particular case. Can be "walking on it funny" from the knee and the increased force caused wear on the foot. Could be a coincedence. Could be you notice it more because of the knee. It's pretty easy on physical to tell.
