What Causes Swelling In The Middle Finger Of The Hand?
Question: My mother 65years old ia having swelling in middle finger of right hand quite ofte,, she is diabetic but controlled due to regular timely diabetic medicines, sometimes she is unable to fold the finger. Could you please let me know the reason for the swelling and pain only in middle right hand finger along with correct line of treatment. Is there something related to blood test that can be figured out. Please provide details asap.

Till then she needs to take a mild pain killer and an oral antibiotic for any possible infection. Keeping the finger immobilized with the help of strapping will help in an early recovery.

pl advise ointment for relief along with cold pack/hot pack which one should work. Any issues related to diabetics can be ruled out?
