Question: My son is 30 years old, this has been going on for two years and noone seems to be able to help him. he started with hives, then a swollen tongue sensation & swollen glands randomly when he eats doesnt matter what he eats, chest pain on and off. He has had numerous allergy testing, he is on a gluten free diet ( which has helped some), on medicine for acid reflux. Had a stress test, all good. He seems to be in a constant state of allergic reaction, high anxiety level which was never the case and experienced night terrors in the past.

Brief Answer:
Urticaria, undergo some tests, take antihistaminic

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic,

I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.

Your son seems to be having urticaria which is an allergic reaction due to multiple causes.

I would recommend you to undergo certain tests which will help in finding the cause of his symptoms.
The tests are complete blood count, urine routine examination, thyroid function tests and anti-TPO antibodies, serum Ig E levels, stool examination to rule out ova and cyst and absolute eosinophil count.

Meanwhile, you may give him antihistaminic like tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
Dr Asmeet
