It is a side effect but still get these tests done.
Detailed Answer:
HI
Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Cilacar belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blocker. Ankle edema is a common side effect of all calcium channel blocker though the chances of ankle edema is less with Cilacar.
I advice you to get certain test done to check for other causes of swelling . These tests include Serum Creatinine, Serum Albumin , Urine Routine and Venous doppler of lower limbs.
If all these tests comes normal it can be assumed that the swelling is due to side effect of Cilacar.
Hope this information is useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.
