Question: I have a swollen blood vessel on the side of my nose. It runs up and down. It is between my nose and my tear duct. What could this be ? How do I get rid of it ?

As below:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. This blood vessel is likely to be the angular artery or vein. These are normally present in this location. The angular artery is the continuation of the facial artery and the angular vein drains into the facial vein.
2. If you upload a close-up image, it may help identify the blood vessel. Is it on one or both sides?
3. Thinning of the skin overlying these vessels may make them prominent. You may either leave it alone, get it cauterized (not recommended) or try a dermal filler to reduce it;s prominence.
I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
