What Causes Swollen Finger And Shivering While Suffering From Fever?

Question: Hi MY 7 year old was having fever yesterday and when taken to doctor he gave paracetamol and he was fine and playing. Today when he went to sleep at around 12:45 AM, and was looking fine till that time. We noticed at 2:30 AM that while sleeping he is sleeping in a pose as if he is feeling cold and also he shivers when taking breath inside.
Also I am NOT sure if it is relevant, his small finger was swollen 2 days back and is still swollen and we don't now what caused it.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be a viral infection
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
Most often such fevers are due to viral infections which resolve in a week's time. Please wait.
The sleeping posture seems irrelevant. You need not worry about the same. However if otherwise you see chills and rigors occurring, do let me know.
About the small finger, please upload an image and I would help you further.
Regards

Hi Doctor,
Not just sleeping posture, his body was shaking like he is chilling especially when he was breathing in , his head was noding in shivering style. However his mother gave him meftal-B after which he stopped shivering. Today he woke up and I asked him and he is saying he is NOT feeling cold.
I will upload his finger photo

Brief Answer:
You need to keep the temperature in control
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
I think it would be a good idea to get his blood tested for malaria. Do not let the temperature rise. Give Meftal-P when required. Give tepid sponging.
