What Causes Swollen Lacrimal Caruncle In Eye?
Question: I woke up this morning and noticed I have a mildly swollen lacrimal caruncle in my right eye. My eye dr is closed today so can't make an appt until the morning, is there an over the counter eye drop I should use until I can see him? it does not itch or hurt at all , just swollen

This is carunculitis.There is mild to moderate pain and discomfort depending upon the severity of infllamation.If you can get anti infllamatory eye drops like Keterolac to be put in three times a day is usually fine. In severe cases we use oral anti infllamatory tablets also.In your case since the discomfort is not much ,the drops should be suffeciant.
