What Causes Swollen Left Eye And Pain Under Left Ear?
Needs assessment and clinical correlation
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I red your question and i understand your concern. Eye swelling needs further evaluation. if there is no preceding trauma history or blackening of the eye then it is likely an inflammation of the eye secondary to some infection which could be easily managed with some topical ointments.
As far as swelling under left ear is concerned, that too needs to be correlated with symptoms and a detailed clinical correlation and physical examination will clarify things. If you have a past history of ear infections or a recent one, or have ear disease of any kind like otitis media etc then the swelling could be mere a lymph node or involvement of mastoid.
A gland named parotid also lies there and that also may swell and at this age that needs to be assessed for malignancies though. With your history of breast cancer i would consider the swelling as perfect candidate for some work up and rule out any spread of some mass or lymph node.
Consult your doctor and let them prescribe you some medications as you need more than ibuprofen and antihistamines.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
