Necrosis of pulp
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX ,
Welcome again
Read your query as you have no pain Yes infection is present in tooth , see what happened is tooth has three layer Enamel outermost layer , Dentin second layer then Pulp innermost layer of tooth .
Caries usualy involves enamel first then dentin then it reaches pulp . Dental pulp is protected from oral microorganism by enamel and dentin .
Initialy (acute condition) When caries involves enamel , dentin causes senstivity and when reaches pulp causes sharp pain , inflammation .
In Chronic condition pain is dull and after certain time period microorganism causes death of pulp there is no pain said to be as Necrosis of pulp and in this condition infection is still present and through pulp chambers infection can spread at apex (root tip ) of tooth and spead through adjacent tissue causing Abscess (Pus ) formation.
So for this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon and go for its treatment .
Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka tiwari
