Brief Answer:
You are being investigated for papilledema.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that you are having swollen nerve of the eye. This indicates edema of the optic nerve and it is seen in inflammation of the optic nerve called as optic neuritis or swelling of the optic nerve because of raised intracranial pressure as occurs in neurological conditions called as papilledema.

In case of suspicion of papilledma MRI of brain and lumbar puncture are done to find out any lesion causing secondary raise of intracranial pressure.

I need few more details like
What are the symptoms you had?
Do you have blurring of vision, transient loss of vision?
Do you have symptoms of nausea, headache, vomiting?
Along with these please do mention the reports of any of these investigations if available so that I can advice you more accurately.

With the history you have provided it seems like your doctor is suspecting papilledema and evaluating to rule out neurological causes causing raise of intracranial pressure.
In these cases treatment of the underlying cause is important to prevent loss of vision and also the treatment of the underlying cause is equally important to prevent any complications.
Hence I advice you to undergo these investigations and to get back to me with the investigation reports.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
With regards
