What Causes Temporary Disorientation And Memory Loss?
Y nose and have seen a specialist for this. Nothing wrong with nose
Requires detailed examination and investigations
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
These symptoms of transient memory loss may be due to vascular involvement of hippocampal area of temporal lobe or transient ischaemic attacks.
Previous history of dysarthria was also possibly transient ischaemic attack.
In my opinion you should visit a neurologist for detailed examination and investigation.
You may require blood sugar testing, lipid profile, blood pressure, ecg, renal and liver function test, hemoglobin and carotid doppler study.
Mri brain may be required after examination.
Are you having any other medical illness like diabetes, hypertension, overweight?
Any medications being taken?
If your symptoms of memory loss and smell disorder is continous you need to be evaluated for alzheimers too.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further queries.

I had all the tests you have laid out at that time including an mri. And carotid Doppler, And eye tests..... Is this how Alzheimer's begins...?
Is this stroke concern?
Require investigations
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Memory loss or dementia may be due to many causes and alzheimers is one of them. It is slowly progressive and continous.
In case you have episodic memory loss then other cause has to be evaluated.
If you got such investigation 2years back and was normal, still you require to repeat nearly all investigations to get a clue for diagnosis.
Alzheimers is a diagnosis of exclusion and require testing to look for other causes.
Risk for stroke should also be evaluated simultaneously.
