my 3 yr old has cortical dysplasia on left frontal and temporal lobe and right temporal lobe as well now is on 14th day (night ) of vomiting at around 3-5am nightly and diarrhea. fine all day except poops ...eats drinks plays no fever no cold , but does have nose bleeds too . this is our 14th time he vomits then goes back to sleep . and is fine after ... please help ?
The repeated vomiting is not related to cortical dysplasia. This disorder can cause epilepsy seizures. If he doesn't have epilepsy seizures, then further investigation for a gastro-intestinal disorder should be sought. An EEG is necessary in order to examine if his brain is having silent seizures, which lead to vomiting. You should discuss with your pediatrician on the above issues.
