What Causes Temporary Loss Of Consciousness While Suffering From Profuse Diarrhea?
Question: My wife has diarrhea and passed out while on the toilet. Second time this has happened in the last 3 weeks?

To be of help, we would require more information. if she has been having repeated and profuse diarrhea, this could be related to dehydration and low blood pressure. If this is a one time watery diarrhea episode and she passes out, it could be related to excessive stimulation of a nerve that results in vasovagal shock. Are you able to measure her blood pressure and report to me?
in any case, I will suggest that you schedule an appointment and get her evaluated fully. in th mean time, drinking much water would be of great help.

She is urinating normally but not much because she hasn't been drinking much. I'll get her to drink more. The diarrhea isn't completely watery.
I have no way to measure her blood pressure at home but it's normal 120/80 usually when it is checked. Pulse rate is strong and a little high at 80

Her fever broke last night. She feels much better today. I do want to get her in for a complete physical to see if they can find anything
