Not cancer of some sort?
I am anxious

I am anxious
Brief Answer:
Cancer is a rare possibility
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your concern.
Since the lump responded to antibiotic therapy, its less likely to be cancer.
As far as hardness is concerned, this could be a part of accumulation of collagen during healing that can impart hard feel.
In case if the lump has not completely vanished in week days, you can go for needle examination ike FNAC after consulting your doctor.
Thank you.
