What Causes Tender Scalp Spots, Vertigo And Dizziness?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Jan 2015
Question: Why is it that since December 2012 I am getting tender scalp spots. They hurt at times and change from left side to right side. And taking pain meds do not help. Doc ordered a brain MRI in January 2013 which came out normal. At times dizziness kind of vertigo comes hand in hand with this scalp pain, there is no signs of injury and I do not put my hair up in any way. Many doctors I have been to say it is anxiety, but I am dealing with this since then, At the same time whenever it happens my heart rate goes up (a lot of cardio exams were performed on XXXXXXX 2014 and all came back normal) Please advise.

Hi doctor, this is where the weird part is but also I like it to be taken into consideration since I do feel pain. I don't have patches nor skin lesions. I can just wake up today and just feel that odd flank pain on my scalp, I have tried applying pain ointment but nothing, Then tomorrow it could switch to the left side. Feels tender so to speak, not on the back but on top of the scalp. I also have eye floaters and been having episodes of seeing swirls at times which then it is accompanied by pain in right of temple. Don't know if that relates or not. They have always done blood work and the only thing they see is Vitamin D deficiency.

Thanks so much , but also do note this whole year i have done a lot of bloodwork and my iron and B12 counts are ok. It was only last year in 2013 that my B12 was a bit low and at the same time was having the scalp pain too. Right now it is only Vitamin D deficiency.

Such symptoms are usually seen in anaemia.
