What Causes Tenderness And Soreness Of Muscles In Limbs, Shoulders And Neck?

Question: For the past six weeks or so, I have very tender, sore muscles in my arms, legs, shoulders, neck. My blood work indicated no Lyme disease, so my doctor is ordering more blood work. It is especially painful when I first start moving, and then it gets a little better. What can it be?
Brief Answer:
It could be inflammatory arthritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your entire history , I think you are having early morning stiffness which is characteristic for inflammatory arthritis and then relieving it after some activity is also indicator for the same .
I would advise you to get Rheumatoid factor , Anti CCP antibody , ESR , s.uric acid, s.calcium, Vitamin D levels , S. TSH to look for the cause . After establishment of the cause we can suggest the management.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care

Could inflammatory arthritis come on so suddenly? I eat fairly well most of the time, and was very active physically (tennis, biking, swimming, weight lifting) through the middle of the fall, for many years now.
Brief Answer:
It could occur so suddenly.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It could occur so suddenly. So I suggest you to get it investigated properly and treatment according to that.
I would also like to give some advice to make the life better and to fight with these pains-
Do regular physiotherapy of joints.
Hot fomentation to decrease the joint stiffness
Hot bath of Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate)-Magnesium has both anti-inflammatory and anti- arthritic properties
Warm regards.
