What Causes Testicular Pain Radiating Through Abdomen?

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015
Question: My husband has been suffering from testicular pain for over 2 weeks now. I got an ultrasound done for checking kidney stones and hernia - report was clear. I was prescribed combiflam for 1 week. However, combiflam does not help ease the pain. The pain starts from the right testicle and is reflecting to the lower abdomen as well till the tip of the penis. The pain subsided and and resumed again starting yesterday morning.

Would any muscle relaxant like Sirdalud 2 mg help? I also am on international travel starting next weekend. So any advice will be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to infection of Testis (Orchitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has pain in Rt testicle since 2 weeks and his ultrasound scanning of abdomen was done which revealed absence of kidney stone and hernia.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making precise comments on your problem
1) Have you done his ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum?
2) Does he have any urinary symptoms like burning ,frequency etc?
3) Does he have swelling of the Testis?

The pain in Testicle is mostly due to infection of the Testis or Epididymis (Epididymo Orchitis)

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of Scrotum
3) Color Doppler study of Scrotum.

In the mean while ask him to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac and Serropeptidase twice daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Muscle relaxant Sirdalud will not help to cure his infection .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
