Brief Answer:
seems to be sinusitis/acid laryngitis

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having repeated episodes of throat pain. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any nasal obstruction or post nasal drip (nose or sinus secretions dripping back into throat) ?

Is there any burning sensation in chest or regurgitation of partially digested food ?

Kindly get back to be with details.

Based on your clinical details, it (throat pain) occurs to be due to sinusitis or reflex esophagitis.

I suggest you to re-evaluate with ent surgeon, get detailed ent examination (sinusitis), laryngoscopy (extension of sore throat, to see any associated acid laryngitis).

Meantime, stop swallowing XXXXXXX ointment (it's a steroid cream), stop consuming freezer products (curd/ice creams), take ppi inhibitor with prokinetic combination (pantoprazole +domperidone) pan-d, twice daily before food (half an hour). do simple salt water gargling, avoid pain killers, spicy diets, sour fruits.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
SINUSITIS-REQUIRES CT SCAN

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Your symptoms suggestive of chronic sinusitis, root cause of recurrent throat pain.

In my opinion, you require CT scan of para nasal sinuses (to see anatomical abnormalities and pathological extent).

Kindly evaluate. As such, in chronic sinusitis, oral medications barely will help. surgery is the choice of treatment.

Hope, I have answered your query. Take care.

Brief Answer:
chronic sinusitis- gastritis and laryngitis

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Chronic sinusitis causes nasal obstruction and mouth breathing which leads to dry throat. Post nasal drip with constant dripping, causes acid laryngitis (voice box infection) and reflex esophagitis and gastritis (burning sensation and pain in chest).

Kindly go ahead for CT scan of para nasal sinuses, till then follow my instructions to stop acid reflux.

Take care.
