What Causes Throbbing Pain In Left Testicle?

Question: I am 20 yrs old and I have stabbing intermediate pain with constant throbbing in my left testicle. After 3 days my scrotum scack began atrophy. No fever and I'm not sexually active. I saw a Dr who ordered a ultrasound said it was normal. I now am begining to experience similar symptoms in my rt as well. What could I have and how can this be treated?

Dear Mr XXXX
Any acute onset of pain in testis , it is important to rule out Torsion of testis. In your case normal Ultrasound is very reassuring, the likely cause is to be Epididymo-orhitis.
As you are having pain in right scrotum too, I would suggest Doppler scanning of both testis to rule out Torsion. Kindly consult Surgeon at earliest for further clinical assessment.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
