What Causes Tight Penis Foreskin?
Question: Hi, I have a tight foreskin and I believe that was what cause my glans in in my head of penis to burst as the foreskin was pulled down whilst erect. Glans in head on the under side now very swollen and almost burst not too sure what it is. Not sure what to do,, who to see, or how serious it is
Brief Answer:
Paraphimosis- simple puncture and reduction helps
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This looks to be paraphimosis and is a result that the tight ring of foreskin has constricted in the furrow.
This causes swelling as mentioned by you.
If it is possible, please post a clear photograph.
You have to go to the ER or a surgeon who would try to puncture to remove the edema and get the tight ring pulled down. This is a simple procedure.
If this is not sufficient He may do a release incision.
Circumcision operation is the best way to avoid the recurrence.
I hope this satisfies your query; you may ask for more if you need and may please rate this answer.

Thanks. How urgent/ serious is it? Also if i speak to my local doctor will they be able to point me in the right direction in terms if finding a surgeon? Is there anything i can do mean while to help.?
Brief Answer:
Urgent.
Detailed Answer:
HI.
Thanks for your feedback.
Certainly you can try at home.
Put a lot of lubricating agent like hair-oil or some skin jelly if you have at home.
Try to press on the swollen part, the edema is sometimes extruded and you can pull the tight ring out of the groove down. This is it.
If you are not successful consult a Doctor, He may try the same, if successful, it is done ; if not The Doctor will refer you.
This is urgent so that it does not become serious .
