Question: hello I've been having tingling along with muscle spasms in my legs for some time now, I get random sharp pains all around my head and feel very tired most days. my doctor chalked up to be a poor diet because my blood sugar was high that day. it just seems like so much more than that to me, I've tried changing the way I eat and feel no results I'm only 26 5'5 and 145 lbs . I have high anxiety and these symptoms have really been bothering me

Brief Answer:
It can be hypocalcemia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question.

When I read your symptoms, the first idea was hypocalcemia.

Hypocalcemia is a blood condition marked by tingling, muscle spasms and aches, and confusion or anxiety. So, this can be a possible explanation for your symptoms.

Other possible conditions that can be the cause of your health problems are hypomagnesemia(low magnesium) or hypokalemia ( low potassium), dehydration, Peripheral neuropathy or Vit B12 deficiency.

I didn't understand why you had a high blood sugar. Please let me know, do you have Diabetes?

My advice for you is to meet your physician and discuss with him if it is necessary to do some test like Calcium magnesium and potassium levels blood test, Vit B12 level assay also.

It can be true that your symptoms can be due to poor diet and these tests are necessary to reach the right diagnosis and then you can have the corrective treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.

thank you! yes this helps alot gives me some ideas on what I'm dealing with. I do not have diabetes, she said my blood sugar was high and on the verge of diabetes and to change my diet to avoid diabetes but did no further tests and just assumed it was due to poor diet but I will definitely run all that you mentioned by her. thanks again!

Brief Answer:
Glad i could help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.

If you had high blood sugar and if it was fasting more than 126 mg/dl or random more than 200 mg /dl, than it is necessary to do even HbA1c test for the screening of diabetes.

Glad i could help.
Wish you all the best.
