Brief Answer:
Carpal tunnel syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Tingling feeling at first two fingers is most likely caused by a condition called carpal tunnel syndrome. In the wrist are (on the thumb side) there is an area where the medial nerve is located. It is surrounded by bones and tendons. This bones and tendons create a tunnel called carpal tunnel. Now due to swelling of tendons and other soft tissues in this area, the nerve gets compressed. This compression causes tingling in the first two or three fingers.
Other symptoms which can be present with this syndrome are arm pain, fingers pain, fingers weakness, thumb muscles degeneration. The pain is usually worse at night.
To confirm this syndrome you may perform two tests:
1. Compare left and right hand. In the area where the thumb muscles are, the hand with tingling should have this muscles smaller.
2. Phalen maneuver. please hold both wrist pushing the dorsal surfaces of both hands together for 30 seconds (please see the picture http://img.tfd.com/mk/P/X2604-P-20.png). If the pins and needles or tingling will appear, carpal tunnel syndrome it is.

I suggest you to consult neurologist with this issue and have EMG test (it shows where the nerve is blocked). If the syndrome will be confirmed, small surgical procedure should cure it.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
