What Causes Tingling Sensation In Different Parts Of Head?
Question: Dear Doctor,
I have tingling sensation in different places of my head, mainly on the left side of the head just above the left ear and also on my right eyebrow. These spasm kind of effect lasts for hours. I am concerned.
I smoke 10 - 15 cigarettes a day and i am not sleeping well, I doze off after i reach home from office at around 9 pm and i wake up at 11.pm after which i cannot sleep till 3.30 am of 4.am. I am skipping breakfast almost everyday from 3-4 months.
Please help.

If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have told you that the symptoms you are having are the most likely due to anxiety or psychosomatic manifestations.I am saying this because you are having strong lifestyle related predisposing factors for stress and anxiety.Anxiety is epidemiologically the most common reason for such manifestations.
However, some other causes to be ruled out are-
Vitamin deficiencies
Alcoholism
Diabetes
Please undergo the following investigations-
Blood sugar fasting
Vitamin B12 levels
Meanwhile, please follow this management plan-
Mental relaxation exercises/Yoga
Multivitamins

I don't consume alcohol. I thought the problem i have is due smoking. Please suggest a way to quit smoking.
