What Causes Tingling Sensation In Lower Back, Legs And Feet?
Suspect multiple sclerosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello! I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Abnormal sensations such as tingling in the extremities can have many causes like nutritional deficiencies (which I see have been suggested to you), thyroid dysfunction, anxiety etc.
It can however be also a signs of involvement of the spinal cord. In a young patient like yourself that description raises the suspect of multiple sclerosis, which can manifest with what is called Lhermitte's sign, an electrical sensation when the neck is flexed which runs down the spine and in the limbs. It doesn't necessarily suggest multiple sclerosis, it suggests simply an involvement of the cervical spinal cord which can be involved by many other causes like Vitamin B12 deficiency, some malformation, spine issues, tumors etc, but multiple sclerosis is the most common one.
So I think a neurological physical evaluation is necessary to search for other signs indicating spinal cord impairment, if history and exam confirm that hypothesis the next diagnostic test to identify the cause is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
I hope things work out for the best.
