What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Legs When Diagnosed With Severe Anxiety Disorder?

default
Posted on Wed, 31 May 2017
Question: I'm 34 year old female. About a month ago I woke up with weird feeling in my triceps area. It was like a numbness/heaviness/weakness feeling. The feeling you get when your limb goes to sleep before tingling starts. Tingling never started. Arm feels weaker than it was. I do have some twitching all over body, some tingling around shoulder blade and upper trapezius area. Last few days I feel some tingling in my tongue. I'm afraid I have als. I do stuff from anxiety disorder. Lately I can't eat or sleep because of fear from als. I'm currently not taking any medication.

Get investigated if required

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is diagnosed based on clinical features and emg study.
In your case it seems to be anxiety related as faciculations can be benign in nature too.
Take anxiolytics like clonazepam.
Avoid excessive tea or coffee.
Get emg study is faciculations persists or there is weakness or wasting of muscles.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further information.
