What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Face While Suffering From Anxiety?

I hope u can shed some light for me ... I have suffered from anxiety and panick for years on and off meaning some times it was easier to handle than others I also suffer from medical anxiety which takes me to this question I have had a stress Echo done for my heart and now I have to wait for results which is making me nervous I guess two days before the test I started feeling tingling on my face which I haven't had in years So that started the panic train now I am in anxious mode because I am awaiting my results .... Could this anxiety bring on these symptoms
I am going to see my gp today to make sure she doesn't think it is anything dangerous

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Stress echocardiography is routinely used to assess cardiac function during exercise and can be used to identify myocardial ischemia or to assess valvular function under exercise conditions.
Stress echocardiography is typically performed in conjunction with treadmill or bicycle exercise testing.
Stress echocardiography is usually done if TMT (Tread mill test ) is inconclusive. What is your TMT report ,if already done.
However you seem to be quite perturbed and anxious about your Stress echocardiography report.
Unusual tingling sensation on face is likely to be due to panic reaction.
Benzodiazepines are useful particularly, a small dose of Clonazepam 0.5 mg orally daily to relief undue stress from anxiety. It is prescription drug .
Hopefully your stress echocardiography will have normal report . That will assuage your anxiety,

All my cardiac tests that I did this may 2016 came back normal I am only waiting for the Echo stress test to come back
My previous stress test came back normal that was done 2013
I did see my gp and she agrees it is also sinus related and anxiety ... I suffer from fybromsyslgia and costochondritus as well as hypochondriac I guess that is the correct term for it
Thank you for your response I hope my Echo stress test comes back normal as well

You are most welcome.
However you have not mentioned what symptoms suggestive of cardiac disorders you are having that you have to undergo repeated cardiac tests including Stress echocardiography.

Mental anxiety
Detailed Answer:
Costochondritis can cause chest discomfort and may mimic cardiac
cause of pain but it is treatable.
Hopefully you get relief of your anxiety on negative Stress Echocardiography which is more likely.
