He is 52, 5'7", around 160 lbs. He is not diabetic, and not on any long term medication. He sleeps okay most night, but sometimes does have trouble. Most mornings he feels just as tired when he wakes up as he did when he went to bed. He also has excessive thirst. There is really not much change in bowel habits. He drinks Peto frequently, although not as much the last month.
Brief Answer:
Possible causes
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the reply. If he is snoring at night, he could be having sleep apnea which makes him tired in the mornings. Mouth breathing during night can make th mouth dry and increase the thirst. Is he depressed or anxious for any cause? If so,this also will make him tired in the mornings. Vitamin D defiicncy is an important cause of body ache which is easy to treat as well
I would suggest few blood works.
a) CBC, ESR
b) Fasting blood sugar
c) Electrolytes
d) Serum calcium ( fasting), albumin and Vitamin D level
e) Serum Creatinine, ALT, AST
f) Urine routine tests
These test are suggsted to find out physical causes of tiredness and thirst.
