Question: I aborted via pills 8days ago .. But I still feel tired , nauseous nd my taste bud is crap.. Do you think am still pregnant

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

If your pregnancy was small and you have used pills for abortion ,they are very effective.
Did you have bleeding like periods after you have used pills for abortion?
If yes ,means that abortion was successful.

But after 7 to 10 days of abortion we recommend to do a TVS( transvaginal ultrasound) to see if the abortion was successful .
Because the common side effect by the use of abortion pill is residue of conception issue.
Hence go for ultrasound to be calm ,and this is the safest method to see if the abortion was successful.

Feeling tired and nauseous after 8 days from the abortion is normal .

The pregnancy was 3weeks old and yes I saw bleeding after the abortion ..

If you have had enough bleeding and your gestational age was only 3 weeks ,pills are very effective.
But to confirm that all things are good ,better is to have a TVS done.

Sorry ma I miscalculated .. It's been 13 days already now after the abortion ma I still feel nauseous nd tired .. It's better today Cuz I had the day to rest .. My Breast is still a bit sore nd my tummy is a bit bloated with pin when I try to suck the tummy in.. I haven't done the TVS yet too scared to find out am still pregnant .. What do you think is wrong with me? The pregnancy was just three weeks old.

I understand your concern and feeling nauseous and tired may be from excess anxiety you have.

While feeling bloating and abdominal pain are very normal after abortion you have done .

As I said above pills are very effective in small pregnancy.

But please have a TVS (Transvaginal Ultrasound Scan) to rule out all the doubts you have ,because there are little chances that you may be still pregnant.

Be calm and eat regularly to gain your energy .
