What Causes Tiredness And Sensitivity To Noises?
Question: My wife seems tired all the time,very sensitive to noises, alcohol effects he quickly and even if doesn't drink she can in early evening when tired slur speech and appear to be drunk. She even at times appears to awake but is not and talks with eyes open. What is going on? Is there any possible help treatment explanation?

The symptoms what you have explained is most commonly seen in patients with hypothyroidism. I would like you to get her thyroid function test immediately along with a CT brain plain done to rule out any lesions in the brain
If your wife does not drink then it is not likely to be alcohol and besides you would have got that typical alcohol breath. I would like you to get these medications done before going for the tox screen

To clarify she does drink alcohol at times but even with just a few glasses of wine she could be effected so greatly as if she consumed way more.
Not sure if she is sneaking or taking meds that she does not tell me about.
She always liked sleep known for 15 years but still needs and never has enough.
What kind of dr does thyroid and c scan you recommended?
And she is usually unaware of odd behavior as was tonight.

Thyroid disorders are seen by both internal medicine doctors and also Endocrinologist. I recommend that you go to a physician first
I would want you to go to a general physician first to rule out any systemic causes for the increases sleep, if everything is normal then you might want to approach a psychiatrist to rule out disorders of the mind
