Brief Answer:
needs neurological evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I am sorry about your current symptoms.
At the outset, it seems like the chest infection is persisting. You had a bad reaction to Doxycycline. Were you started on any other antibiotic for the chest infection? Steroids would definitely help with the wheeze.
Your current symptoms of being very tired, falling asleep, dropping things, blurred vision, twitching badly all point towards neurological involvement.
Do you have pre-existing medical conditions like Hypertension, Diabetes, or Hypothyroidism? If yes, these need to be re-evaluated. You would also have to get your serum electrolytes checked to see if they are normal.
It could also be that these could be on-going reactions to the doxycycline.
In such a situation, it is better to be evaluated by a neurologist or get back to your treating doctor and discuss about the possibilities.
Meanwhile, I would suggest that you take plenty of fluids and water orally. Take bland diet. Rest adequately. Do not exert yourself physically. Do steam inhalation thrice daily to reduce the wheeze.
Please ask for a review or follow up appointment with your doctor at the earliest.
Get well soon.
