Is she having any fruit which can change the colour of her tongue blue like blueberry?

Is she having iron deficiency anemia?

Have you done her ultrasound and your baby is not having any congenital heart disease?

Is she suffering from cold, heart disease, any blood disorder?

Is she having any associated symptoms?

How long she is having this problem?

Brief Answer:
It is a symptom of cyanosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you once again.

Thanks for your reply.

Usually blue discoloration of tongue is a symptom of cyanosis( insufficient blood supply to the tissue).

It can be due to respiratory causes like COPD, asthma, respiratory distress syndrome, pneumonia etc.

It can be due to heart disease and blood disorder.

So any condition which may cause decrease blood supply to the tissue may cause blue tongue.

In your case hypothyroidism may be the cause.

So keep watch on it and if it persist than please consult your treating doctor to rule out above mentioned cause.

Hope it is useful.
