Brief Answer:
Start medication....
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. However I don't there is any home measures to treat tonic clonic seizure. You need to start antiepileptics like Valproate or levetiracetam in 500mg twice daily dose. These are prescription based medications only.
You should also get evaluated by EEG and MRI brain testing.
If you have previous reports or consultation then upload it.
Hope you recover early.

I am already on too many medications, would you recommend a nerve stimulator? My doctors are considering that highly since I am on three medications already and no response to the medication what do you think?
Brief Answer:
Yes you can go ahead with VNS after discussing with doctors
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
You may have been advised vagus nerve stimulation device.
Yes it is helpful in preventing the seizure episode and can be connected and implanted by a neurosurgeon.
But consider this treatment if you have been evaluated properly for epilepsy with poor response to highest tolerable doses of multiple antiepileptics.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Go for vagal nerve stimulation if drugs ineffective
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Your medication taken by you seems to be not effective.
If enough drugs and duration has been tried and Mri and eeg are not showing any lesions then you may go for vagal nerve stimulation.
Consult a good expert neurosurgeon or a hospital set up with such surgical experience.
Hope you recover early.
