What Causes Tremors, Cold Sweats, Headaches And Extreme Tiredness After Discontinuing Cyclizine?
Question: Hi I have been taking slow release morphine daily (100mg twice a day) now for 6 +years along with 50 mg daily of cyclizine to help with the sickness. (I am in remission from cervical cancer and suffer from painful radiotherapy adhesions) I have ran out of cyclizine and can't get any on my repeat prescription for 4 to 5 days. I've noticed that without it I'm feeling strange. Side affects such as shivery cold sweats headaches and extremely tired. Do you think it's not having the cyclizine? I also take HRT for early menopause and pregablin for pain.

i read your question and i understand your concern. Yes all these symptoms can be attributed to cyclizine. But its a simple anti histamine and anti emetic. You may try any other anti emetic like prokinetics etc for the relief. HRT and early menopause, cancer therapy and morphine altogether have played a role in your symptoms as well.
Nut shell not taking cyclizine has kicked in the adverse effects and will resolve the moment you take any anti emetic or cyclizine back. You should have it in a drug holiday patern of 2 days intake and one day skip. it will help the tolerance and spare you of such adverse effects in future.
