What Causes Uncontrollable Defecation After Taking Sporlac-DS?
Question: Hi. I am a 32 year old suffering from IBS. I often take 1-2 tablets of Sporlac-DS before going out for an important occasion/meeting in order to control the defecation. But off late Sporlac has been having an opposite effect on me. When I take it, instead of the bowels being controlled, I badly feel like passing a motion and have to rush to the restroom. This seems to be a paradox to me. Please advice.
Brief Answer:
intestine is now overloaded or already primed with these bacteria
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
Sporolac is actually a probiotic
I am assuming the intestine is now overloaded or already primed with these bacteria.
So it has been ineffective.
I would suggest try isapghulla husk instead.
A course of rifaximin may help also, but will need a prescription.
I hope that the information helps you.
