What Causes Unremitting Anger While Treating Bipolar Disorder?
Question: My husband is under medication for emotional disturbances for the past 35 years. Licabxl tegretal200 fludep20 are the tablets that he is taking.but even then at least 2-3 times a month he is disturbed and becomes violent toward me and rarely towards others. Is there a permanent cure for him. We have consulted so many doctors so far but not cured completely Pls advise

I can understand your concern. To comment more on his clinical course I need more detailed history of his symptoms. If possible provide details how his symptoms started, how they progressed, what are his main clinical symptoms?
He is taking Licab XL, Tagretol and Fluoxetine and all these are medicines for bipolar disorder. Lithium and Tagretol helps to stabilise mood and will definitely reduce his anger.
The illness can be treated with medicines and he can function like normal individuals without any significant issues. Just continue to give him medicines as per his prescription. If his condition is not improving then low dose antipsychotics can be added. Addition of low dose Olnazpaine or Quetiapine can prove useful. Discuss with his doctor for these medicines.
