What Causes Unsteadiness And Low Protein Levels During Pregnancy?
Question: Hello I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing constant unsteadiness or disequilibrium. It happens when I sit, stand, and walk. It really is very uncomfortable. I am on the zofran subQ pump and we turned down the rate and the disequilibrium is still there. My blood work just shows low protein and calcium everything else is normal. BP is normal in lying, sitting and standing positions. No inflammation of my ears. Eyes were checked and normal. Any idea what it is that I am experiencing?
Brief Answer:
Medicine list needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Your symptoms seem to be related to zofran only.
But can you please tell me the medicines you are taking so that I can have a better idea.
At 28 weeks there is no other cause except eye and blood pressure problems.
Waiting for your response.
Regards
Dr Manisha

I am just taking the zofran and also zantac 75 occasionally. I have been on the zofran for months with no symptoms so that is why we thought it isn't related.
I also have a slight astigmatism in one of my eyes. I dont wear glasses though

Neurologist opinion
Detailed Answer:
In my opinion you need to visit a neurologist at the earliest and let him examine you thoroughly to reach a diagnosis.
Ever since you have already got a lot of base work up so it will be easy for the neurologist to reach a diagnosis.
