What Causes Unsteady Gait?
Now my problem, besides my paralises and loss of all short term memory is my doctor has put me warafine 3mg each evening. I am already on 40 mg of clobazam, 200 mg lacosamide, 450 mg dilantin.
Thease are all anti seizure medications and as II have develop
ped a blood clot in my leg.
As I hobble around, I find that I am a lot more unsteady on my feet and am afraid of falling, more often. I have had many falls over the years but now I don't have any control, what so ever, even just going to the bathroom.
Any help, what so ever, would be most helpful.
Another point, must be noted; I take these amounts at 5AM and 5PM, so you have to divide these amounts by 2, to getthe dosage at each time....I tend to get quite confused at times, so I get my
meds blister packaged, so thatI can't make mistakes, as I live alone, but I have home help services, twice a day for a few hours each time.
I just want to say a Great Big THANK YOU, for this service!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
I must say I am immensely impressed with the attitude you adopted to deal with your health condition. You know what? I am convinced that what has kept you most moving has not been medication, but the positive state of mind and will you have had over the years. The sense of positive thinking and being positive and being released in the mind are intrinsic aspects that must be appreciated, and that you got to keep up.
The anti seizure drugs that you are taking are all for sure justified. I buy your doctor's idea , based in the clinical findings you described to put you on Warfarin. There are a few tips that you could use not to forget taking the drugs. An alarm clock, on phone or wall could be useful to remind you regularly. In case you eat at regular hours, you could try to match your main meals with the moments you have to take your drugs. Thirdly and most importantly, taking drugs should be taken as a game and not as a burden. I believe the most important thing and characteristic you have is this spirit of being positive, believing in your self and this sense of positive thinking. I would XXXXXXX you again that , In my opinion, that is the most precious engine that has and will for sure keep you going.
It is interesting that you can move your self around. It might of interest in putting more effort, as much as you can, in moving yourself around for real. A proper diet, especially one rich on fruits and vegetables should be on your table.
You however not forget to respect your clinic appointments, and get the proper blood follow up tests, especially your blood clotting profile.
Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health.
