What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain And Nausea When Diagnosed With Helicobacter Pylori Infection?
Question: I had upper abdominal pain and nausea for 2 weeks, and tested positive (stool) for helicobacter. 2 weeks after antibiotics treatment my symptoms have subsided however I feel weak/dizzy and have soft stool. Is that normal?

Triple regimen therapy contains Amoxicillin 1gram.One of the main side effect of Amoxicillin therapy is loose stools.Amoxicillin 1 gram is a heavy dose and loose stools are there as side effect.
Mild dizziness is because of the effect of high dose dual amtibiotics you are on clarithromycin and amoxicillin.
Advice
Take a probiotic like VSL#3 daily for a week atleast.
Take lots of lactobacillus rich food like Curd,Kimchi etc.
Metamucil husk should be taken 7 to 10 grams twice daily.They increases the bulk of stools.
