Brief Answer:
Acid Peptic Disorder and its management

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. It sounds to me like you are suffering from Acidity and Acid reflux. Can you tell me how long you have had this problem?

In general, you need to decrease the salt, spice caffeine and fatty intake of your diet to reduce the issue naturally. In this case, the cold and all the phlegm and mucus that you are swallowing because of the cold are flaring your problem up a bit.

If you want more immediate relief I would suggest that you take a course of omeprazole 20mg twice a day (once in morning and once in evening) and see how that helps.

Let me know what you are thinking.

Brief Answer:
Either is OK

Detailed Answer:
Either is OK, this is a very safe drug. I generally prefer that patients take it on an empty stomach as it will work faster.
