What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Having I Pill?
Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) Withdrawal bleeding like period (after 2 days) was MOSTLY due to effect of the I-pill and NOT due to abortion. It was too EARLY for pregnancy or miscarriage soon after taking I-pill.
2) If you had taken I-pill in 2010, then ultrasound scan CAN'T REVEAL 4 years back event including abortion. It will be NOT worthwhile.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and take care yourself.

Dr Soumen

Thanks Soumen.. I alwaz have pain in right side of abdomen 2 weeks b4 periods.. Whats cause and medication fr dis?
Brief Answer:
MID-CYCLE OVULATION PAIN. CONFIRM WITH USG.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
According to your information, it is MOSTLY suggestive of mid-cycle ovulation pain (occurs 2 weeks before period due date). It is called Mittelschmerz in the medical term. About 20% of women experience this, some every cycle, some intermittently. One ultrasound scan will be worthwhile to confirm the diagnosis.
The pain is NOT harmful and does not signify the presence of any disease. No medical treatment is usually needed. However, you can take anti-spasmodic group of drug (like Drotaverine) if pain is constant and severe.
Hope, it helps for you. Kindly, close the discussion.
All the best and good luck.

Hi my B12 serum report has value as 1179 and D3 serum value is 23.9 . What is significance
Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for additional query.
1) Serum vitamin-B12 is slightly ELEVATED from normal level. High level may be due to liver cause, hematological abnormality etc. You may need to undergo some other investigations under the guidance of your doctor after proper clinical examination.
2) Your vitamin-D3 level is VERY LOW and you should take 10,000 IU of D3 for 6 months and recheck it again.
Optimal RANGE of vitamin-D3 is 50-70 ng/ ml or 115-128 nmol/ Lit. It should NEVER be below 32 ng/ ml.
Any level below 20 ng/ ml is considered serious defiency states and will increase your risk of breast cancer and autoimmune diseases like MS, rheumatoid arthritis.
Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.
Good luck and all the best.

Dr Soumen
