Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs. XXXXXX
Thank you for trusting us with your health concern.
I have gone through your history.
Would you let me know a few details before I give you an opinion -
1. What is your current height and weight ?
2. Are your cycles regular ?
3. Do you have a history of intermenstrual spotting earlier ?
4. After taking Clomid, was follicular monitoring done in this cycle ?
5. In the earlier 3 cycles with Clomid, was follicular monitoring ( via serial ultrasound scans ) done, and was ovulation documented ?
6. Whilst you had ovarian drilling, fallopian tube patency also must have been checked, are the tubes patent ?
7. Is your husband's semen count okay ?
8. Have you ever conceived / aborted earlier ?
Please write back with the details requested so that I can opine accordingly.
Take care.

AS BELOW
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the updates.
Since you have irregular cycles, it is not possible to say if this is ovulatory spotting or hormonal imbalance.
Ovulatory spotting lasts for a day or two , not longer.
This is most likely due to the hormonal imbalance inherent in patients with PCOS.
While taking Clomid, it is imperative to go for follicular scanning, otherwise you are just taking the drug ( which has its own side effects ) and not even knowing if you are ovulating in response to it.
More than 6 cycles of Clomid are not supposed to be undertaken, so with each cycle that follicular monitoring is missed, you are losing a chance.
Hope this is clear.
The only reliable method to document ovulation is to have a follicular scanning done.
Since you are abroad, for this cycle, nothing much can be done.
Remain sexually active as much as possible, and take a pregnancy test after another 10 days if you do not have a proper period by then.
Take care.

NOT A RELIABLE METHOD
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
BBT is a most unreliable method to document ovulation.
Can attach various scientific studies that you can go through, which will convince you.
AM however attaching the link for one article that is in simple and ready to comprehend format.
Please go through it -
http://www.parenting.com/article/basal-body-temperature-key-determining-ovulation
Are you using a specially graded thermometer for the BBT ?
Secondly, travelling itself can lead to fluctuations in temperature.
Late nights and erratic schedules are an inherent cause of such readings.
Hope this helped you.
Take care.

Good day.

So if this spotting is hormonal imbalance could i have still ovulated?are there chances that i cud still become pregnant this cycle?
YES, CHANCES ARE THERE.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I am not saying that it could not be ovulation.
It is possible.
I am just saying that do not rely on BBT as a method of reliably pinpointing ovulation .
It is affected by just a night' s lack of sleep or altered timings for example,
If the spotting is hormonal imbalance, it does not rule out ovulation.
That might still have occurred.
With irregular cycles, it can sporadically occur anytime.
CHances for pregnancy do exist.
Wish you luck for that.

YES.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Spotting does not mean anything either way in terms of conception.
Take care.

SAME TO YOU.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the appreciation.
Wish you luck and prayers too.
Do revert if you need to anytime in the future.
Good day.
