What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Full Course Of Azithromycin And Amoxicillin?

Question: I think I had gonorrhea 2 weeks ago. I never was officially checked I took a full prescription of azithromycin and amoxicillin. Yesterday I had sex. Protect with.a condom. Today I noticed spotting and I don't know if this could be PID I never had any symptoms but just now I began feeling pain in my lower abdomen. No discharge or anything. What should I do ? I just recently became sexually active. I'm 18

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Can you let me know a few more things ?
When was your last period ?
Have you ever had irregular spotting / bleeding earlier ?
You are only recently sexually active, most teens notice some amount of discomfort initially on exposure to sexual activity .
May I know what were your symptoms which led you to suspect gonorrhoea ?
PLease respond with the details requested so that I can guide you further.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

Thank You For A Quick Response. No I haven't had any discomfort prior to losing my virginity 3 1/2 ago. The sex was unprotected and oral sex was involved. 3 days later I found white stuff on my tonsils and it was painful to swallow. I took some amoxicillin and it cleared up. I still looked up on the internet what could cause that they said gonorrhea I didn't personally get checked out. I kind of diagnos myself and got a prescription for azithromycin. Even though I had no vaginal discomfort (discharge, itching, burning) I also took 2 plan B within a week. I received my period between July 7-9 & it ended between 16-17 my period was about 8-9 days. Heavy to normal flow. I thought it was because of the plan b I was on here then and asked and someone told me it was because of the Plan b and said it I had Pelvic Inflammatory disease The Antibotic would have cleared it up and it was nothing
Brief Answer:
I do not think it was or is , an infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Relax.
First of all, the mild throat irritation is common after having oral sex for the first time.
And you have already taken antibiotics, so that should be fine now.
I do not think that this is PID ( any kind of infection ).
The spotting and the bleeding is because of the frequent intake of the Plan B.
Please do not take it indiscriminately as it can lead to severe menstrual irregularities , and when taken so close together, it will not work either.
Think of a contraceptive / protection.
If you have any discharge, itching, burning etc, then get a vaginal swab done to document infection, and then proceed for treatment.

You don't think it's weird that it happened right after I had sex that I'm spotting?
Brief Answer:
As below.
Detailed Answer:
Could be vigorous sex.
The only possibility is infection, but you have no other symptoms, so I am not thinking of that right now.
I would say wait it out, if you have any bleeding / spotting right after sex, have an internal exam by a gynecologist.
But relax, I think it is just the new experience of sex plus the Plan B.

It's actually more than just spotting I'm still bleeding.
& a slight discomfort pain. Is this also normal
& a slight discomfort pain. Is this also normal
Brief Answer:
As below
Detailed Answer:
Well, it is not normal , if it occurring just after sex.
I have an inkling it might be because of the Plan B.
We will know only when you have intercourse next, if the same symptoms reappear, then it warrants an exam and an ultrasound scan plus Pap smear as I told you.
If this bleeding stops in a a day or two, and you do not bleed again after sex, put it down to the Plan B.
Makes sense ?
