What Causes Vaginal Bleeding In An Elderly Person?

Question: Hello,

My grand mother has been having vaginal bleeding the whole of today. She is 87 yrs old, around 3 yrs back she fell and has a hip fracture, since after the surgery she's mostly on the bed.
Before today, a few month back, she had some spotting for a day or two, and a few weeks back a brownish discharge. But today the bleeding has been continuous. Please advise. We are in XXXXXXX please let us know whom to consult
