Brief Answer:
This is normal. Dont worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about bleeding after fibroid resection.

Following is my reply:

1) Fibroid resection by hysteroscopy will leave an area of wound which heals slowly. This wound mean while bleeds for sometime.

2) This episode of irregular bleeding as you are experiencing lasts for about 2 month . This is the time of endometrial growth on the healing surface.

3) This is normal after hysteroscopic resection and hence dont worry about it.

4) This time the bleeding will not be severe as last time.

5) You can take the tranexamic acid tablets 500 mg 3 times a day for 3 days for the bleeding to be controlled.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya

Thanks Dr. XXXXXXX
I have another question. I just had sex with my husband two days ago. I want to know is the bleeding due to this ?

When can expect this bleeding to stop totally and the pain. The pain in my lower abdomen comes and go. I work so it becomes difficult sometimes.

Dr, will i also see good result in my next period as my heavy & irreregular bleeding was the main concern . I had 5 cm submucosal fibroid in my uterus which has been shaved off significantly as told by the Doctor

Brief Answer:
Bleeding will stop soon

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The bleeding is possible due to sex as there is bleeding from the surface of endometrium which is healing.

This should become regular in couple of months. Don't worry about it. It is good to know that the submucous fibroid is shaven off.

If pain is excessive take meftal spasm tablet along with an antacid like rantac. This will help in reducing pain.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Dr. Soumya

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
XXXXXXX there is nothing to worry about. Fibroid might be containing some blood tissue and hence endometriosis. This is not a problem.

You don't need to do anything else. Just relax.

Hi Dr.

As I told you that my bleeding started three days ago again after it stopped totally past 8 days, today my bleeding is very heavy with clots and bad pain. I am wondering is this period? If yes i will monitor this cycle but if its not period then where the heavy blood coming from? Its continuesly bleeding with big clots.
Im very very worried snd upset as i did the surgery to get relief .
Please advise me. The pain is very acute and sharp and right under my belly button( the uterus area)

Brief Answer:
Please wait for 2 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This seems to be your periods.

Wait for 2 days for the flow to reduce. If you don't see any reduction in flow after 2 days, take tranexamic acid (Pause MF) 500 mg 3 times a day for 3 days. You will find relief.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
