Brief Answer:
Unrelated issue

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
The 2 symptoms of the query are quite unrelated.
You can forget about the appendix now.

I am assuming you had a menopause quite a few years back.
This spotting is now a new event.
I remain unaware about the duration of the spotting from the query.

At your age the most common cause of spotting is malignancy. There are other causes but this is the one needing most urgent detection and treatment. Therefore I focus on this.

The easiest way to detect this is to get a usg or MRI of the pelvis.a PAP smear in addition will be needed.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
