Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

I think if blood in stool persists then it would be reasonable to seek a referral to a pediatric gastroenterologist. This specialist can help determine if the bleeding is from an inflamed hemorrhoid or if there is something else going on such as an inflammatory bowel disorder.

If he is constipated its improtant that he eat adequate fiber and vegetables as well as having good hydration with water. Would limit juices and soda as well.

I understand your concern and would consider asking for a referral to a pediatric gastroenterologist at this point.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
