What Causes Very Low Sperm Count After Alcohol Consumption?
Question: I consumed alcohol over the last 3 days did not consider that it would effect my sperm analysis. Now i have given my sperm test my sperm count is showing 1.6mil/ml. I still don't know if it is the alcohol that has affected or something is wrong with me. Please advise

I read your query and I understand your concerns. Following is my reply
1. 1.6 million is very low sperm count . Its called severe oligospermia.
2. Having or not having alcohol in past few days wont matter to bring it down so much.
3. Please see a urologist to get yourself examined and see if there are any problems like small testis.
4. It is also advisable to get a scrotal doppler ultrasound scan done before seeing urologist.
5. Get semen analysis repeated in another standard good lab once again before seeing urologist.
6. Also get semen culture and sensitivity test done to confirm if there infection in semen.
