What Causes Vomiting After Receiving Hucog Injection During Pregnancy?
Question: My wife is 9 week pregnant according to last date of period but was found to 7 week pregnant in ultrasound. Also I would like to add that her pregnancy could not be detected until 20 days after missing period in home pregnancy test. doctor now has recommended hucog 5000 injection and susten injection. after this the vomiting problem has started and she has started vomiting a lot. I don't know where this is heading??

Firstly, it is possible that she had irregular or delayed cycles, or ovulation was delayed.
Did she have regular periods always ?
As long as the pregnancy is proceeding normally ( growth of the baby at 7 weeks is as it should be at 7 weeks ), there is no cause for concern.
The date of delivery will be calculated by the first ultrasound scan, and not by the date of her last menstrual period, since the pregnancy resulted from delayed ovulation and hence delayed conception.
HUCOG and Susten are hormonal supports for the growing pregnancy.
Yes, they do have a side effect of vomiting, as they contain hormones.
If vomiting is persistent and troublesome, alternative medications can be suggested.
Is it very severe ?
Also, was the fetal heartbeat normal in the scan which was done ?

In the ultrasound(normal) no embryo could be found. Many suggested that it might come in usg(tvs). Size of sac was 21mm.
she has tendency for vomiting almost all the time after hcg injection(2 days after the injection).
fetal heartbeat could not be detected as its only 7 weeks old. doctor said it might come after 8-9 weeks provided some growth is noticed.they have asked to come after 15 days to do usg again and analyse.

It is pointless to have an abdominal ultrasound scan done, transvaginal scan ( TVS ) only will provide the details required.
At 7 weeks, most definitely heartbeat should be seen.
